With both the Kali Yuga and the Murthi of Palani Hill beginning to crumble, International Babaji Yoga Sangam (Founder-Minister: Yogi S.A.A. Ramaiah) suggests that in this present sathya yugam, the beautiful procession idol of the Palani Temple be used for worship, and that opportunity be given for Bogar's renowned navapaasana murthi to be preserved for future generations.
Following the tradition of the great shrine at Palani, Muruga kovils have now been established in Yuma Arizona, and above the Babaji Yoga Sangam Holistic Hospital in Tamil Nadu. These two samadhi shrines have been built under the inspiration of Bogar, and are each invested with a black granite Palani Andavar. Both murthis are installed above a crypt containing the vibuthi (holy ash) from dozens of dynamic mantra yagnas held at sanctified shrines the world over.
Meditating on the tapas of Palani Andavar in the Yuma Shrine are the granite murthis of three great Saivite siddhars, including Kriya Babaji Nagaraj, Himself an avatar of Muruga Consciousness. At the entrance of the sanctum sanctorum are Ganapathi and Siddhar Bogar Himself, and all of these murthis are accompanied by their corresponding yantras. In the temple courtyard are Saravana Poigai (named after the tank where lord Muruga was born), Balipeetam, Thulasi peatam, and the granite peacock vahanam. (Live peafowl and roosters are in the compound's aviary.)
Established by Yogi S.A.A. Ramaiah, and consecrated in 1985 March 21st, the Yuma Palani Andavar Kovil is a beautiful shrine for performing Shanti Poosai for the souls of the departed and adjoins the Babaji Ramalingeswara Kovil. Daily poosai is at 7:00 pm with yearly celebrations of deepavali and Kanda Shasti. Individual arrangements can be made by calling the Arizona branch of International Babaji Yoga Sangam at 928-783-7239.
